Spring Cleaning Hacks and Hints

Spring cleaning has existed since ancient Jewish times when during the week after Passover, observant Jews did a thorough cleaning to rid the house of anything containing yeast, which was forbidden during the Days of Unleavened Bread. Early Christians continued the tradition during the week between Palm Sunday and Easter.  In recent times, cleaning is done in the Spring in celebration of the end of winter when we can throw open our windows as we wash them and sweep away the dust of winter doldrums.
